This is one of the most important topic for JEE Advanced point of view.
This topic deals with numerous reactions and colours of various compounds.
I think the best way to master this topic is to understand what exactly is happening.
Proper notes can make memorising the reactions a cake walk.
- Make flow chart for each group
- Color the compounds using sketch pens ( It is age old method to memorise colors of compounds)
- Read notes regularly and see wether you are able to recollect the reactions whenever you are free.
- Practice more number of problems to make your concepts more clear.
- Last and the most important point is to STICK TO THE SYLLABUS. JEE never asks out of syllabus questions especially in this topic.

Many people may think that making this kind of notes are time consuming, but trust me it’ll be worth the time.
One can also make some charts and paste them on walls and refer them daily.
